Information about the European Money Bank Collectors (EMBC)
Banks are manufactured since the 1st half of the 19th century in great numbers and different materials as clay, pottery, wood, sheet steel and cast irons.
About 30 years ago serious, european friends of money banks found themselves together in order to find out in a ring in a non-profit way based more about their passion and to reminisce. Currently the club has about 70 members in 12 countries and 3 continents. For these collectors a bilingual, colored magazine that reports about the collecting-fields is published two times annually.
Traditionally the club organizes annually a collector meeting with culture program in a European city at a weekend with beautiful atmosphere at which also many banks are to be seen and offered.
The EMBC finances his activities with a year contribution of EUR 30 which contains also the purchase of the magazine. No obligations to the club exist otherwise.
